Lewis Hazelwood-Horner has had a work selected for the Herbert Smith Freehills Portrait Award 2024 at the National Portrait Gallery in London (Previously the BP Portrait Award):
The exhibition will be from 11 July – 27 October 2024 and will then go on tour around the UK

Habib Hajalli has received a grant from the Arts Council for a project which will offer a paid exhibition and mentorship opportunity to 4 emerging artists from ethnically diverse backgrounds with connections to Dartford and surrounding areas:

Jill Leman, Barbara Richardson and Mick Davies all have work in an exhibition called Alla Prima at The Gallery Holt in Norfolk:
This exhibition will take place  from 1st June - 9th July

Huaicun Zhang and Mick Davies met with the Chinese Minister Counsellor Li Liyan and other dignitaries in London recently. 
This was during an exhibition of Chinese ceramics and Mick gave a speech to the audience about ceramics and other arts:

RBA RISING STARS

As usual our STARS past and present have been busy and I am delighted to share some of their news with you:

Charlie Schaffer tells us that he has an exhibition at the Chelsea Arts Club for three weeks in July and, as part of his prize for winning the BP Portrait Award 2019, he has been commissioned by the National Portrait Gallery to paint a person of cultural importance from the UK.  This work will be in the gallery's permanent collection - and this will start this year and be revealed once the painting is completed.

Two of our present RBA RISING STARS who have their work
showing at ROSL until July 7th, are:

Ellie Moore, who is a member of the Hilliard Society of Miniature Art whose Annual Exhibition is one of the largest International Exhibitions of Miniature Art
Appropriately, it will take place in Wells, the smallest city in England!  This show will be at Wells Town Hall, Somerset, the 8th - 15th June

Keiti Forbes has a two person show "Sweet Dreams and Subeams" which opens from 25th May - 30th June at Browns Gallery in Tain, Scotland. 
This is a joint show with her mother, artist Jennifer Houliston. 
Keiti has also received a commission by a family in California!
