Huaicun Zhang is an Honorary Member of the RBA.  She is British Chinese, an author of children’s books, a poet and an artist. 
Huaicun is also a warm and generous person who has supported the RBA in the past, is supporting us now and plans to continue to do so in the future with her generous awards;
The Huaicun Zhang Grand Prize, The Whistler Award and for the young artists in our RBA RISING STARS Exhibition.  A staggering total of £20,000!

She is immensely proud of her family, who always support her with her art and charity work.  
Her daughter Xianyan Chen, an amazing young woman, has agreed to be the new Patron of the RBA.

Huaicun says:

“Even the smallest soul is a part of mother nature. If our hearts could talk to her, then we would hold the secrets of nature. 
I love painting the beauty of the world, just as the birds enjoy flying and their freedom.

For me, happiness is love, is passing on love and warmth, and is what I want to do for the rest of my life.”
